World Cup. Day 2, Match No.3

Taeguk Warriors 2-0 Galanoleyki

Korean football is all about nicknames and Taeguk realtes to the symbol in the middle of the South Korean flag. Ji Sung Park's nickname translates as
"double-hearted oxygen tank" but more about him later.

In a half-empty stadium, whose roof panels are supposed to look like waves in the sea, two teams who have no chance of winning the tournament were ready to do battle. During their anthem there was one sole Korean saluting, while his fellow Countrymen covered their hearts with their hands.

Greece were worse than terrible, although they had more corners than a handfull of 50p peices. It was certainly a case of no risk defending from our Asian friends! Our European friends on the other hand were very negative and without inventiveness. Book the plane home now!

Korea played with smiles on their faces for 90 minutes and deserved their win. Jung Soo Lee scored a simple tap in after 6 defenders were caught ball watching, and then Park sporting a new slimline figure and a new haircut finished the scoring off with a well taken solo goal.
HTFC Prediction League Prediction 0-1. How more wrong could I be?
